President Gul receives his Costa Rican counterpart

President Abdullah Gul yesterday received his Costa Rican counterpart and 1987 Nobel Peace Prize winner Oscar Arias. Stating that they signed a memorandum of understanding towards improving their shared legal infrastructure, Gul told a joint press conference afterwards that both sides have a positive outlook on signing a free trade agreement. For his part, Arias said that they hope to open an embassy in Turkey in 2011.
