Turkey prepares its own progress report

Turkey's own progress report will be published on Monday on the Ministry of European Union Affairs Ministry's website. "We made our own progress report which covers the reforms made and implemented in 2012 after seeing irregularities in the EU's progress report on Turkey," said Egemen Bagis EU Affairs Minister and chief negotiator. In October, the EU had released its 2012 progress report containing criticisms and concerns about the length of pretrial detention, the independence of the judiciary and minority rights.
