30 countries meet in Corum

The 11th Turkish Olympics "International Language and Culture Festival" which was initiated under the slogan of "Towards Universal Peace" drew great attention in Corum. Approximately 20,000 people living in Corum participated in the event which was held in Dr. Turan Kilicoglu Stadium. 80 students from 30 different countries were present at the language and culture festival. Corum Governor Sabri Baskoy, Mayor Muzaffer Kulcu, Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputy in Corum Salim Uslu and other officials also attended the festival. The participating students sang Turkish songs and performed folk dances. Speaking at the festival, Governor Baskoy expressed his gratitude to people from Anatolia who were present in 140 different countries and set their heart on Anatolia. The International Turkish Education Association (TURKCEDER), the organizer of the festival, also organized activities in Gebze, Sanliurfa and Usak.
