Akkuyu nuclear power plant projects seeks Turkish investors

Wooing international and local investors, Alexander Superfin, who is managing the project to build a nuclear power plant in the Mediterranean Akkuyu area, yesterday said that although Russia will finance the project, they are seeking Turkish investors as well. "Let's begin talking with parties interested in nuclear plant investment," he said. "We foresee a total price tag of $20 billion. We're planning to lay the foundations at the beginning of 2013. We made a contract with one Turkish company for field work. We want to see more Turkish companies involved."
