Ankara, Damascus approve anti-terrorist pact

Under a new counter-terrorism agreement with Syria passed by Parliament yesterday, Turkey will extradite terrorist PKK members who are Syrian citizens and Syria will extradite PKK members who are Turkish citizens. The pact also provides for cooperation on monitoring and tracking terror groups, conducting joint operations, and exchanges of information, documents and intelligence. A direct telephone line will also be established between the chiefs of general staff of the two countries.
