Turkey could emerge as a mediator to the ongoing conflict in Libya, as Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu prepared yesterday to hold talks with Libyan Deputy Foreign Minister Abdulati Obeidi in the wake of similar discussions with groups opposing the government. "Our sincere wish is to see the end of the suffering of the Libyan people as soon as possible and the formation of a road map in line with their demands," Davutoglu told reporters yesterday. He said a delegation from the opposition Libyan National Congress, which seeks ground for a cease-fire between the clashing groups, has also been invited to Ankara.
