Arinc pleased with aid collected for Somali

Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc yesterday opened a photo exhibition entitled “Being Human in Somali” which was organized by the Anatolia News Agency (AA) yesterday in Ankara. AA General Director Kemal Ozturk, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gokcek and Somalia Ambassador to Ankara also attended the opening ceremony. Stating that the AA emphasized the human tragedy in Somali for the entire world through the exhibition, Arinc said that majority of the world remained insensitive towards child deaths in Somali deriving from poverty, drought and famine, but Turkey showed the reality in Somali to the entire world thanks to efforts exerted by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and our citizens. He added that the amount of aid collected for Somali climbed to 490 million TL, except the aid collected by private companies.
