Bagis hails new EU progress report as "most positive yet"

The annual European Commission progress report on Turkey released this week is the "most positive yet," said Chief European Union Talks Negotiator Egemen Bagis yesterday. Compared with the reports of previous years, he added, the positive tone of this one "shows that Turkey has made progress in its EU membership process … Looking at the report, we see signs that we won't wait 13 more years. It smells like EU membership."
