Speaking on Egyptian army's coup which has toppled the elected President Mohamed Morsi, Turkey's Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said on Wednesday that the worst type of democracy was more livable and acceptable than the best type of military coup. "We especially appreciate Morsi's non-submissive stand against these coup boosters. Our common mission is to develop an attitude towards democracy, human rights, freedom of expression around the world in these days in which pro-coup mindset has fallen into disuse," Bagis said. Meanwhile Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu who was on his official trip to Singapore had phone calls with his counterparts from various countries regarding the recent developments in Egypt. Before he left the country, Davutoglu talked foreign ministers of the United States, Britain, France, Germany and Qatar on the phone. They discussed developments in Egypt during their talks.
