Bagis: We will not allow ant ownership claims for baklava

Speaking at an event in Istanbul on Sunday, Turkey's Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said that he would not allow some Europeans claim ownership for baklava. "We have submitted the application at EU to register the name Antep baklava in collaboration with Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and Gaziantep Chamber of Trade and Industry. Some Europeans are claiming ownership for baklava and we will not allow that," Bagis added.
