BSEC signs pact with Central European Initiative

A memorandum of understanding was signed in Istanbul yesterday between the permanent international secretaries of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) and the Executive Secretariat of the Central European Initiative (CEI). The memorandum, signed by BSEC Secretary General Leonidas Chrysanthopoulos and CEI Secretary General Gerhard Pfanzelter, is expected to provide a general framework for the coordination of BSEC and CEI activities on a regular basis and to strengthen their relations, with the aim of enhancing cooperation on issues of common interest. The memorandum is designed to promote a mutually beneficial relationship between the two organizations and facilitate the discharge of the responsibilities of both organizations by synergizing efforts and consolidating and enhancing collaboration.
