Carrier: "Turkey is a growing and prominent country "

Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Jean-Guy Carrier yesterday stated during the G20 Regional Consultation Meeting which was organized by the ICC G20 Consultation Group and hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) that Turkey was a growing and prominent country. "Having a developed economy, Turkey will become one of the leading countries in the future. Accordingly, comments and suggestions from Turkish business circles are important to the G20. Furthermore, the G20 will be also held in Turkey, which should be certainly taken into consideration," Carrier said.  Stating that efforts exerted by the ICC have been quite effective in terms of overcoming the global crisis, TOBB Chairman Rifat Hisarciklioglu said, "Middle Eastern countries have also attended today's consultation meeting, in which the businessmen mentioned their problems and wishes."
