Chairman of NATO's military committee visits Gen. Ozel

Danish Gen. Knud Bartels, who has assumed his position as Chairman of NATO's Military Committee on January 2, paid his first visit to the General Staff in Ankara yesterday. Gen. Bartels met with Chief of General Staff Gen. Necdet Ozel and discussed details about the missile shield to be established by NATO in southeastern province of Malatya. Reportedly, the Turkish Armed Forces' (TSK) involvement aimed at establishing a regular army in Libya was also discussed at the meeting.
