Speaking at the International Somali Conference, hosted by British Prime Minister David Cameron in London, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Wednesday said that the accomplishments under the leadership of President Mahmoud since September 2012 were appreciated and the most urgent priority in Somalia was to follow a comprehensive and multidimensional strategy. Stressing that the Somali people are in urgent need to have fundamental public services like health, education, transportation, water and energy supplies, Davutoglu mentioned Turkey's efforts to carry out renovation and economic development activities. "As Turkey, we emphasize that the priorities should be political reconciliation, the rebuilding of the Somali security forces, economic progress and the construction of infrastructure," Davutoğlu said, adding that Turkey has allocated $10 million to use for this goal.
