Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will have a bilateral meeting this weekend or early next week with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Turkey's Ambassador to the US Namik Tan said yesterday. Davutoglu will arrive in Washington tomorrow to attend a ceremony hosted by the influential magazine Foreign Policy, which recently named him as one of the Top 100 Global Thinkers. Speaking at a press conference, Tan said Davutoglu will hold bilateral talks with Clinton as well as with National Security Advisor Tom Donilon and members of the Senate and House of Representatives. Davutoglu's visit to Washington will be his first since Republican gains in midterm elections early this month. Before leaving the US on Tuesday, Davutoglu will also meet with EU Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule, who is also visiting Washington, and speak at both Georgetown University and the Brookings Institution.
