Speaking at a press conference in Konya, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that a plane was sent to Cairo to bring a group of ten Palestinian prisoners into Turkey as part of yesterday's thousand-for-one prisoner exchange and defined the incident as a "humanitarian issue." Davutoglu added, "The opinion of representatives and Palestinians there will also be sought with regard to which country they want to travel to. Afterwards, our delegation will take them and bring them into Turkey." Davutoglu stressed that all Palestinians, as well as people living in entire Middle East should consider Turkey as their homeland and that this situation was not something extraordinary, but a contribution which was made by Turkey to peace.
