Davutoglu due in Germany
In reply to a parliamentary question asked by the German Left Party, the German Federal Ministry of the Interior stated yesterday that the Federal Crime Office has seized 811 weapons as a result of the searches conducted in 2009-2011. Left Party spokesman Ulla Jelpke said that the weapons which were seized showed that extreme rightists in Germany have been further armed and that particularly the increase in firearms was dreadful. According to the Der Spiegel daily, the Historians Commission has revealed that the Gestapo and SS personnel files dating back to Hitler's era were destroyed by the German intelligence organization (BND) in 2007 and that some other files consisting of 581 pages were also disposed of in 1990s. Besides, a house belonging to Turks was instigated in the German city of Salzgitter yesterday, but luckily nobody was injured, because nobody was home. Amid these incidents, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will travel to Germany today. As part of his visits on December 1-5, Davutoglu will meet with families of eight Turks who were killed by the National Social Underground (NSU), as well as representatives from the Turkish society.
