Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said yesterday that Iraqi government must explain its reasons to ban Energy Minister Taner Yildiz's plane from landing in the autonomous Kurdish region. "The fact that our Energy Minister's visit was cancelled due to a last-minute obstacle despite the diplomatic permission is a sign of lack of coordination between communication and decision-making authorities of Iraqi government, rather than a problem between Turkey and Iraq. Accordingly, firstly Iraqi officials must shed light on this matter among themselves," Davutoğlu said in response to a question about Iraq's central government's move. On Tuesday, Energy Minister Taner Yildiz's plane was denied permission to land on Tuesday by the central government and was forced to land in the Turkish city of Kayseri, southeast of the capital Ankara.
