Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held a meeting with a delegation from the Syrian National Council (SNC) yesterday. Reportedly, Davutoglu discussed the situation in Syria and held a consultation regarding the transitional process with SNC Chairman Abdelbasset Seyda and an accompanying delegation. During the meeting, Davutoglu warned against a possible sectarian conflict or a civil war. "No matter what, a sectarian conflict should be avoided," Davutoglu said, adding that recent incidents which occurred in the camps inhabited by Syrians were unacceptable and that Turkey would not want such incidents to occur again. During a press conference, when a reporter said PKK flag was hoisted in some regions in the North of Syria, Seyda said that Kurdish groups supported revolution in Syria, stating that they ordered that no flags apart from independence flag would be hoisted in Syria.
