Elgiz Museum gets international award

Presenting the 2013 awards for collecting The Friends of ARCO Association (Amigos de ARCO) has recognized the collection of Elgiz Museum, located in the Maslak district of Istanbul, in the International Collecting category. The awards are extended each year to private and corporate collectors for their dedication and contribution to contemporary art. Elgin Museum will receive the award at the International Contemporary Art Fair (ARCO Madrid) in Madrid on February 13. The permanent collection of the museum includes works by artists such as Cindy Sherman, Tracey Emin, Jan Fabre, Eric Fischl, Hiroshi Sugito, Sol LeWitt, Azade Koker, Marcus Oehlen and Ergin Cavusoglu.
