A total of 32 institutions, including the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TUSIAD), Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TUSIAD) and Turkish Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON), yesterday established the Entrepreneurship Board under the leadership of Science, Industry and Technology Ministry in order to facilitate the creation and implementation of new strategies to improve the spirit of entrepreneurship throughout the country. At a ceremony in Istanbul, in which a protocol was signed to establish the Entrepreneurship Board, Industry, Science and Technology Minister Nihat Ergun said that efforts would be exerted to provide entrepreneurs with easier access to domestic and foreign financing opportunities and develop alternative financial instruments such as venture capital and business angels. Ergun said that the Entrepreneurship Board basically aimed to determine new strategies and policies in order to develop the culture and spirit of entrepreneurship, adding, "Accordingly, we will firstly take certain steps to determine and eliminate the factors hindering entrepreneurship."
