Erdogan and accompanying delegation arrive in Washington

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday arrived in Washington for talks with US President Barrack Obama. Erdogan's spouse, Emine Erdogan, and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu along with Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc, Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan, EU Affairs Minister Egemen Bagis, Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz and a number of businesspeople are also accompanying the prime minister on his trip. Erdogan and accompanying delegation were greeted with a military ceremony upon his arrival at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. Afterwards, Erdogan attended a groundbreaking ceremony for the Turkish American Culture and Civilization Center on Wednesday. Erdogan's meeting with the Obama is going to take place on Thursday. Erdogan will also meet with Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry over lunch and will have talks with Speaker of the US House of Representatives John Boehner later on Thursday. Erdogan and his delegation will later meet American businessmen at the US Chamber of Commerce and then attend a dinner at the White House.
