Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met on Wednesday with 'wise men' committee in Istanbul's Dolmabahce Palace. During the meeting, Erdogan met the committee for the last time and discussed their seven final reports from Turkey's seven regions. Besides Erdogan, the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) was represented in the meeting by Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag, Interior Minister Muammer Guler, Culture and Tourism Minister Omer Celik, AKP spokesman Huseyin Celik, Prime Ministry Undersecretary Efkan Ala, and Erdogan's daughter, Sumeyye Erdogan, who is serving as an advisor to him. The wise people delegation designated by the government to inform the public about the settlement process in seven geographical regions of Turkey concluded last week that a new civilian and democratic constitution is needed for a permanent solution to the problem. The seven delegations recently submitted their reports to the government. Speaking to journalists ahead of the meeting, Ahmet Tasgetiren, the head of the Central Anatolia regional group of the Wise Persons, said the "wider picture" after the two-month long efforts of the group showed the peace process received "full support." Tasgetiren also said before the meeting that the groups were scheduled to share photographs and videos with the prime minister.
