Iran's state media Press TV said Istanbul has been confirmed as the venue for the new round of nuclear talks between Iran and P5 + 1, namely, five permanent members of the UN Security Council, including the US, Russia, China, Britain and France plus Germany. On the contrary, in reply to a reporter’s question on the issue, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated yesterday in Urumqi, China, that he has not received any official confirmation from Tehran or Western governments that Istanbul will be the venue for upcoming Iranian nuclear talks. Erdogan added that any official confirmation would be directly shared with Turkish media. Afterwards, EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton stated that world powers would hold the next round of nuclear negotiations with Iran on April 14 in Istanbul.
