Erdogan says Turkey and the Netherlands determined to raise bilateral trade volume
Speaking in a forum meeting of Dutch CEOs in the Netherlands, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday said that Turkey and the Netherlands were determined to raise bilateral trade volume to $15 billion by end-2015. Reiterating that Turkey and the Netherlands celebrated the 400th anniversary of their diplomatic relations in 2012, Erdogan said, "Current trade volume between Turkey and the Netherlands is $7 billion. We do not consider this figure as sufficient and want to raise it to $15 billion." Stating that approximately 2,100 investor companies with the Dutch origin operate in Turkey, Erdogan said, "Their investments in Turkey amount to $17 billion, and the investments made by Turkey in the Netherlands equal $6 billion. This amount climbs to $8.5-9 billion, along with the investments made by the Turkish people living in the Netherlands."
