Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met People's Voice (HAS) Party leader Numan Kurtulmus at the Prime Ministry building on Thursday. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Kurtulmus said that they have received an invitation today from Erdogan for HAS Party to join his ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP).  "As you know, HAS Party is able to fill a gap with ideas, views, statements and political style and contributions to the processes in Turkey. As a party, we don't seek any title. The entire Turkey knows this. We will discuss whether a merger is possible in line with our party's principles for the construction of a stronger Turkey. Then we will share our decision with our people in a transparent manner," Kurtulmus added. Speaking at a separate meeting with representatives from the Economy Journalists Association (EGD), Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc congratulated Erdogan for his invitation, saying that he knows Kurtulmus personally and describing him as a well-trained and knowledgeable person.
