Ergun attends 2nd Turkish-Arab Industrial Cooperation Conference
Speaking on the sidelines of the 2nd Turkish-Arab Industrial Cooperation Conference in Libya yesterday, Science, Industry and Technology Minister Nihat Ergun said Turkey aimed to reach a trade volume totaling $100 billion between Turkey and Arab League countries within the next five years. Stating that Turkey is always ready to support the restructuring process in Libya in each and every field, Ergun said they attended the event along with many representatives from business cycles and non-governmental organizations towards this end. Ergun also indicated the importance of establishing a network not only between businessmen and public institutions, but also among universities and scientists. Ergun added that free trade agreements and visa exemptions between Turkey and Arab countries should be also further increased. Tunisian Industry Minister Mohamed Amine Chakhari said at the event that the Arab region appreciated Turkey’s achievements in areas of economy and industry, and the world now envied Turkey.
