The theme of the summit is “Towards a Global Recovery: Experience and Challenges,” said Omer Faruk Unal, president of the executive board of the summit. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to make the opening remarks of the summit, Unal told Anatolia news agency. The summit will also feature a panel session on the ministerial level to be chaired by Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan, he added. Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan, European Union Minister Egemen Bagıs, Central Bank Gov. Erdem Basci, Treasury Undersecretary Ibrahim Canakci and National Bank of Kuwait Chief Executive Ibrahim Dabdoub are among the participants of the summit. The first summit was held last year with the participation of 560 people from nearly 50 countries.
