Foreign ministry warns Iran over its accusations

Deputy Foreign Minister Naci Koru has told Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman and Head of Public Diplomacy Center Ramin Mehmanparast that Turkey is not pleasant with Iran’s remarks on NATO’s Patriot deployment in the country. Mehmanparast who came to Turkey this week within the framework of public diplomacy met Ambassador Naci Koru. "Turkey is uncomfortable with the remarks of Iran’s senior officials on Patriot deployment." Koru said. Mehmanparast also had talks with Foreign Ministry spokesman Selcuk Unal. Iranian Maj. Gen. Hassan Firouzabadi had called on the Western military alliance to reverse its decision to deploy the defense system, saying that such a move risks a conflict with Syria.
