Gamze Bulut wins gold medal at the European athletics U23 championship

Turkey's Gamze Bulut won the gold medal at women’s 5,000-meter race at the European Athletics U23 championships in Tampere, Finland. Bulut was followed by Layes Abdullayeva of Azerbaijan and Britain's Kate Avery, who has clinched the bronze medal. Bulut is the Olympic 1500m silver medalist of the year 2012.
