Gul, Erdogan, Ozel present diplomas to graduates of war collages

President Abdullah Gul presented diplomas to the best three students of the Army, Air Force and Naval War Colleges yesterday during the graduation ceremony for the 2011-2012 academic year at the Ataturk War Gaming and Cultural Center in Istanbul, where Gul was welcomed by War Academies Commander Gen. Aslan Guner in a military ceremony, which was attended by Chief of General Staff Gen. Necdet Ozel, force commanders and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Kadir Topbas. 197 students, 25 of whom were from abroad, graduated from the War Academies. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave diplomas to the second best students and as for the third best graduates, they received diplomas from Gen. Ozel. Speaking at the ceremony, Guner said that being strong and deterrent is possible only through a superior military force which is also supported by other national elements such as economic, social and political power.
