President Abdullah Gul who is paying a visit to northeastern city of Artvin, shared his views about the Gezi Park events at the Governorate yesterday and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's meeting with representatives of protestors. Stating that these talks between the two demonstrate how advanced the Turkish democracy is, Gul said, "Turkey is a state of law and the law is a binding road for all. I am happy to observe that the issue has been put on track as it should be as part of the rule of law." In response to a question about a possible plebiscite declared by Erdogan, Gul said, "This is how dialogue is carried out. The parties can understand what objections the other have and what suggestions they can present toward the resolution of a certain issue. This shows to the world that we can resolve our problems through dialogue and peaceful means."
