Gul shares his pleasure with ongoing studies to prepare a new constitution
President Abdullah Gul called on all the relevant parties to create an affirmative atmosphere and thus act constructively regarding the new constitution. Gul answered reporters' questions ahead of his reception of Bharathi Davina Wijeratne, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Ankara, and shared his pleasure with the ongoing studies to prepare a new constitution that will embrace all walks of the public in the country. Reiterating that a new constitution should successfully be concluded with the participation of all parties, Gul said, "These studies would not have progressed at all without corroboration of leaders of political parties. In writing such a constitution, they all should agree on a common denominator as it will be a legal document for all. The bigger this denominator, the better it is as a matter of fact." Gul added that the media should also assume responsibilities in this regard and everyone should lend their corroboration in this process.
