International Turkish Culture Congress to start in Eskisehir
The 8th International Turkish Culture Congress will be held on October 24-27 in Eskisehir, which has been elected as the "2013 Cultural Capital of the Turkic World." The 8th of the quadrennial series of congresses will be dedicated to the theme of "Cultural Heritage." Scientific sessions will kick off tomorrow at the Ataturk Culture Center located at Anadolu University's Yunus Emre Campus to be closed on Oct. 26. President of Ataturk Culture Center Professor Turan Karatas noted that the objective of the Congress was to reveal the threats and opportunities facing cultural and natural heritage in a contemporary world, where culture has become equally important as politics and economics.
