Iran aims to solve problem between Turkey and Syria

Ramin Mihmanperest, the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, yesterday touched upon the diplomatic situation between Turkey and Syria, as well as the Turkish military jet which was downed by Syria last Friday. "The problem must be solved by countries in the region through patience, dialogue and without acts that may negatively affect the region's security. We will make use of our good relations with the two countries in solving the problem between Turkey and Syria," Mihmanperest said. Mihmanperest reiterated that Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi called on Turkey to act with restraint during his phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu, saying that they will follow-up on the matter. Mihmanperest added that Iran would make use of its good relations with the two countries in solving the problem between Turkey and Syria.
