An article by Barry Rubin, director of the Global Research in International Affairs Center, which was published on the Israeli Jerusalem Post daily writes that not Israel, but the role played by Turkish government is now the American president's favorite Middle Eastern ally for the first time in 40 years. The article entitled "The Region: Bright future ahead for Erdogan" asks why US President Barrack Obama continues to support Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, although he has taken many steps against American interests. "President Barack Obama's favorite adviser among the regional leaders is Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan," the article writes.
