President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai visited a police college in the eastern province of Sivas, Turkey, where Afghan police cadets were trained. During his visit, Karzai was accompanied by Turkey's Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin and Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz. Greeting the Afghan cadets who have welcomed him in Turkish, Karzai met with the students after visiting the school. Addressing to students, Karzai said, "While watching the presentation, I could see the pictures of two great figures, namely, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and Amanullah. These pictures show that our rotted relations date back to history. The relations between Turkey and Afghanistan have improved in the last decade. I am aware of the friendly and brotherly feelings of President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and all of the Parliament members for Afghanistan." Karzai concluded his speech by saying "Long live Turkey" in Turkish.
