Kerim Davutoglu's visit to Kirkuk as highly important
Necmeddin Kerim, governor of the Iraqi city of Kirkuk, said yesterday that the recent visit paid by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to their city was highly important. In a statement, Kerim said that they supported Davutoglu's visit on behalf of the governorship of Kirkuk. "Davutoglu emphasized during his visit that Turkey was at an equal distance to all ethnic groups in Kirkuk and Iraq. Davutoglu also assured that Turkey would extend support for the development of Kirkuk and Iraq. Turkish companies can play an important role in developing Kirkuk and Iraq," Kerim stressed. Kerim added that a visa application has been filed with Iraq's Embassy in Ankara for Davutoglu and his delegation, and that permission has been obtained from the Iraqi Foreign Ministry for his flight.
