The Libyan businessmen who have been trying to establish a more modern business climate chose their Turkish colleagues as mentors. Accordingly, three protocols were signed yesterday between officials from the Libyan Union the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Libya-Anatolia Businessmen's Association and Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Center (OMEG) in Istanbul. Within the framework of these protocols, Turkish businessmen will furnish consultancy services to the companies located in Libya. Idris Umran Abdulhadi, a representative from Libya, said that these protocols would be the beginning of cooperation between the Turkish and Libyan businessmen in the post-Kaddafi era. Stating that they need Turkish businessmen in the Libyan market, Abdulhadi said, "We will establish an industrial zone covering an area of 50 hectares. We should be prepared for this and give vocational training to the people living in Libya. That's why we need to establish cooperation with Turks."
