Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu yesterday met in Ankara with Mahmoud Jebril, the visiting head of Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC). "Today we went over details of (next week's) meeting of the Libya Contact Group in Istanbul," said Davutoglu. "The contact group is a most important forum showing the international community's resolve on the future of Libya." He added that he hoped the meeting would produce a consensus on a political road map for Libya. Turkey also pledged to help the beleaguered Libyan people during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan in August, by setting up tents with the rebel administration for fast-breaking and delivering aid. "The Turkish people can't rest easy if they are breaking their fast but their Libyan kin are not," said Davutoglu. "They don't have food to break their fast, but we do, so they should have some too."
