Monetary policy committee holds interest rates steady

At its meeting yesterday, şe Monetary Policy Committee, chaired by Central Bank Governor Durmus Yilmaz, kept interest rates unchanged. "International credit conditions and global economic problems have continued to restrict total demand, but decreasing domestic uncertainty is expected to increase domestic demand," said a statement released by şe committee.
