Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave rough messages on Syria at the 5th Conference of Ambassadors and said, "Peace costs more than war. War is the easy one. Peace is difficult. We are in the side of difficult one, not the easy one. We are on the side of peace, not war. We paid the necessary price for peace. We are ready for war at any moment, with all our capacity." Erdogan who stated that the number of Syrian refugees in Turkey exceeded 150 thousand also added that until now 500 million dollars have been spent for Syrian refugees. "Everybody should know that, it is not possible to ignore, remain unresponsive regarding the events in Syria. Turkey preferred to be distanced to the oppression of Israel, to Gaza, the issues in Iraq, Afghanistan, Asia, Africa and Balkan countries and paid a heavy price." Erdogan said. Erdogan who thanked ambassadors for their efforts and works in 2012 also gave advices for 2013 and highlighted that it is not possible to get somewhere through status quoist foreign policy understanding and every ambassador should be fully aware of that they are representing a big country with their living, vision and actions.
