President Gul receives PM Erdogan
Before his departure for New York on September 20 to attend the 68th UN General Assembly meeting starting on September 24, Turkish President Abdullah Gul received Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Cankaya Presidential Palace. During the one hour meeting, Gul an Erdogan reportedly focused on the Syria crisis and its effects on Turkey. Turkish President and Premier also took up the talks that Gul would hold during his visit to New York for UN General Assembly with his counterparts from a number of countries. President Gul also received General Necdet Ozel, Chief of the Turkish General Staff.
