Presidential Cycling Tour visits Bodrum after Istanbul

The 46th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey continues today with Stage 2 in the Aegean region. The Tour of Turkey kicked off in Istanbul 's Sultanahmet Square Sunday and continues today with Stage 2 between the Kusadasi and Turgutreis districts of the Aegean province of Mugla . The 181-kilometer stage starts at 12:15 pm, and the cyclists are expected to arrive at the finish line at 4:30. Tuesday's Stage 3 will start on Bodrum's Kibris Sehitleri Street at 12:30 pm; the 166-kilometer stage finishes in the resort town of Marmaris . The tour will head east in Wednesday's 209-kilometer Stage 4, which will start in Marmaris at 11:30 am and end in Denizli's world-famous Pamukkale. The cyclists will arrive in the Mediterranean resort town of Fethiye on Friday for Stage 5 of the race after a 207-kilometer ride originating in Pamukkale. That stage will take the tough mountain road from Denizli via Cameli, climbing to higher than 1,600 meters before descending via Yesiluzumlu and then into Fethiye for the stage finish. Riders will then leave Fethiye and head south for Finike before reaching the Mediterranean province of Antalya , the last stop before the finish in the Alanya district.
