"Once upon a time in Anatolia" shown at New York Film Festival
The latest movie by Director Nuri Bilge Ceylan, "Once upon a Time in Anatolia," was shown to the audience as part of the New York Film Festival last weekend. The movie which has been awarded with the Grand Jury Prize at the 64th Cannes Film Festival will run for the Best Foreign Language Film Award nomination at Academy Awards. Following the presentation, Ceylan spoke to reporters, saying that Turkey attaches great importance to Academy awards and that he will do his best on the issue. Speaking in his part, New York Film Festival Program Director Richard Pena said that the movie has attracted considerable attention and that some press members described the movie as the "best of the festival."
