Sarajevo Film Fesr screens director Ceylan's latest
Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan's latest award-winning film, "Bir Zamanlar Anadolu'da" (Once Upon A Time in Anatolia), was screened Tuesday night at the 17th Sarajevo Film Festival in Bosnia. More than 3,000 film lovers watched Ceylan's film at Sarajevo's Iskenderiya Culture Center. In a psot-screening Q&A with the audience, Ceylan said the cast and crew felt at home at the festival thanks to the close cultural ties between Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The film was a joint Turkish-Bosnian production, Ceylan said, adding, "Festival director Mirsad Purivatra is one of the film's producers, so being here has a special meaning for us." The film, which won Cannes' Grand Jury Prize this May, is set in a small town and criticizes bureaucracy. The 17th Sarajevo Film Festival lasts through Saturday.
