Saudi Arabia-Turkey trade and investment bridge program held in Jeddah

As part of the Saudi Arabia-Turkey Trade and Investment Bridge Program which was held in Jeddah and co-organized by the Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkey (TUSKON) and the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), more than 50 Turkish and Saudi Arabian companies held bilateral business contacts and bilateral cooperation agreements were signed by TUSKON and JCCI. Speaking at a meeting within the framework of JCCI, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan stressed that political and social relations between Turkey and Saudi Arabia were in a quite good position, adding that bilateral commerce between the two countries should be improved. Babacan also showed the economic achievements gained by Turkey through graphics and tables to Saudi businessmen, saying, "There is a great potential of boosting our commercial relations. This could be achieved by the private sector, whereas the governments are responsible for removing relevant hindrances." Speaking in his part, JCCI Chairman Saleh Abdullah Kamel praised Turkey's economic success at a time of global economic crisis, saying that Turkey should be proud of its economic and social achievements, as well as its international position.
