Turkish Minister of EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis yesterday said that technical works were underway in Turkey to block access to, Innocence of Muslims, an anti-Islam movie, upon directives by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Speaking on the TRT Turk TV channel, Bagis said that he didn’t want to call it a movie. "It was a piece of crap. This crap should not demoralize us. Just as the movie is ugly, so are violent protests against the movie, including killing diplomats," Bagis underlined, adding that there is a double-standard involving the issue in the sense that countries patronizing Turkey for lack of freedom of press are acting hypocritically.
