"THY, aware of the requirements of being a global trademark, is working to offer the best to its passengers with its quality, catering, the importance it has given to flight safety, with its equipped personnel," said Turkish Airways (THY) CEO Temel Kotil, adding that the reason behind the success of THY was to make investments in order to become a global trademark and open to the world. Stating that THY is now the only airway company in the world flying to 204 different destinations, Kotil said, "It is important for us to achieve this. Now the size of the flight market is approximately $500 billion. We aim to reach $7.8 billion by the end of the year. 2.5 billion passengers are carried worldwide. Our goal for this year is to carry 38 million passengers. That's why we are thinking global."
