Stating that the "Investment Incentives Scheme" proved successful, Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan announced yesterday that the number of investment incentive certificates between January and September reached 3,710, equating to a 21 percent rise and the predicted fixed-investment value was 55.2 billion with a 58 percent increase. The investment incentives certificated within the first nine months of the year provisioned to employ 132,649 people in total, with a 37 percent increase compared to the previous year. "Significant hike in the number of investment incentive certificates issued, the investment's value as well as the employment rate across all regions but particularly in the fifth and sixth regions confirm that the new incentive scheme's positive impact is increasing steadily," Caglayan said in a written statement.
